Abby Wren is an award winning multidisciplinary artist and outspoken advocate for Alopecia, using her artistry to bring awareness to her message of inclusivity, reminding the world that “Different Is Dope!”
After losing all of her hair, eyelashes and eyebrows to the autoimmune disease Alopecia at age 15, Abby began using bold, creative makeup to express her femininity and creativity.
Her bald head has become her iconic canvas, as she transforms herself into vibrant masterpieces, encouraging others to celebrate their differences proudly. You might see a consistent alien theme in her work, as she relates to their mystery and wonder, and their bald heads!
Abby deeply believes in the power of creativity as a healing source, and she is dedicated to spreading joy and impactful positivity through her work, inviting the community and especially kids, to participate in her projects whenever possible.
Originally from rural Montana, she grew up skiing, hiking, fishing and biking in the Rocky Mountains, and is deeply inspired by flowing, smooth shapes and forms, and vivid, bold colors. Now based in Los Angeles with her husband Wade Holland, Abby's work has been seen across the stages of New York Fashion Week, national commercials, global brand campaigns and partnerships, and throughout countless publications and workshops around the world.
